The downloads permission is used to save selected Pinterest images and videos through Chrome's download system.

The storage permission is used to remember extension preferences locally, including download and interface settings.
Scripting and website access
Scripting and host access are used on supported Pinterest pages to detect media, identify media URLs, and display download controls. Access is limited to the functionality needed for the extension's single purpose.
4. Advertising and analytics
